How to point a domain name to the ProStores DNS - for stores created before 5/26/09
These instructions apply only to stores created before May 26, 2009 9 AM PST

There are two options in regards to pointing your domain name to the ProStores’ DNS:

1) Change the DNS with the current registrar of the domain to point to ProStores’ DNS.

The first option requires that the current registrar of the domain change the domain’s DNS to ProStores’ DNS. You may have access to make this change yourself through an administrative area. If not, you would need to contact your registrar and let them know that you would like to make a DNS change. Provide the registrar with the following DNS (domain name servers):

DNS1.PROSTORES.COM
DNS2.PROSTORES.COM
DNS3.PROSTORES.COM

After the DNS records have been updated with your register, you need to add your domain to the ProStores DNS records.  Go to the ProStores Control Panel > My Account > Add Dedicated Domain > Transfer and Existing Domain Name > Enter your domain > Confirm and Continue.  It may take several minutes for the update to process.

2) Transfer the domain registration to ProStores.

The second option is to transfer the domain registration to ProStores and thereby making ProStores your registrar. Once ProStores becomes the registrar of the domain, the DNS change is made for you. Transferring the domain registration to ProStores can take up to 3 days to complete. In addition, before the transfer can begin, you must verify that the administrative email address on a WHOIS (http://www.xwhois.com) query is accurate. A transfer authorization email is sent to the administrative email address displayed in a WHOIS query. There is no charge for the transfer. Please contact ProStores Technical Support to initiate this process.

After the DNS is changed, it may take between 24-72 for the change to propagate throughout the Internet.
